To use the interactive calculator, start by pressing any decimal tenth - try 0.44. This number will appear in the window of the calculator. Press the 'X' button on the calculator, and press 12. Press the ' =' button on the calculator to show the answer. Multiply other decimal hundredths by whole numbers.
Multiplying Decimals prompts students to multiply decimals using mental math. To use Multiplying Decimals, multiply the numbers and type the answer in the text box. Try it first without the calculator, using pencil and paper. Click the "Check your Answer' button to see if the answer is correct. Click the "New Problem" button to try a new question. |
