To encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about Dividing by Tens and Hundreds, here are some games and interactive activities they can do on their own or in pairs.

Use renaming and a division fact to divide by tens and hundreds.

Instructions for Use

Division using Base 10 Blocks gives students an opportunity to explore division by using interactive base 10 blocks.

To use Division using Base 10 Blocks, move the sliders to change the length and width of the rectangle. Notice the division problems change to reflect the number of base 10 blocks added onto the screen. Have students try the self-check questions to practice dividing with regrouping.

 

Interactive Calculator allows students to divide by tens and hundreds.

To use Interactive Calculator, start by pressing a four-digit number on the interactive calculator. This number will appear in the calculator window. Press the ' ÷' button on the calculator, and then a two-digit number. Press the '=' button on the calculator. The quotient becomes shaded on the hundreds chart. Have students divide whole numbers by hundreds.
