Stop that Creature lets students fill in a t-chart to find the pattern rules. To use Stop that Creature, find the rule that runs the machine. Enter the rule in the text boxes and click 'OK' to shut it down.
A Mathematics Fantasy allows students to predict and extend the patterns in tables. To use A Mathematics Fantasy, have students predict outcomes after thirty days by selecting one of two options. Option 1 - earn one cent on the first day, two cents on the second day, and double your salary every day thereafter for the thirty days; or option 2 - earn one million dollars. Have students choose the best payment method. Read the web site and study the two payment options to find the results.
Interactive Calculator allows students to extend pattern rules. To use Interactive Calculator, find a pattern in an existing table. Input the term and term number to extend the pattern rule. This number will appear in the calculator window. The number pattern becomes shaded on the hundreds chart. |
