## Lesson 6 **- Percents as Special Ratios**

To encourage your child to have fun on the Web while learning about
Percents as Special Ratios, here are some games and interactive activities
they can do on their own or in pairs.

**Instructions for Use**

Fraction
Pie prompts your child to represent the relationship between decimals,
percent, and fractions.

To use Fraction Pie, click on the pull-down menu and choose 'set model'.
Drag the sliders to change the value of the denominator and numerator.
Changing the slider corresponds to changes in the model, fraction, decimal
and percent given.

Converting
a Fraction to a Percent prompts your child to find what percent
the fraction represents.

To use Converting a Fraction, click the 'Start' button. Input the numbers
in the proper text box. Click the 'Check ' button to see if the answer
is correct.

Converting
Percent to Decimals prompts your child to convert percent to decimals.

To use Converting Percent to Decimals, click the 'Start' button. Input
the numbers in the proper text box. Click the 'Check ' button to see
if the answer is correct.
