Instructions for Use
Quotient Guess and Check prompts your child to practice estimating decimal quotients. To use Quotient Guess and Check, print the activity sheet. Have your child estimate the closest quotient in a division problem. Have your child play a game Quotient Guess and Check with one or more partners. Division cards are stacked face down. One player turns over a card, and each player estimates the quotient of the problem shown. Players write down their estimates and then use a calculator to find the exact answer. The player with the closest estimate earns one point. When there is a tie, the tied players each earn one point. Play proceeds in a clockwise direction. The player with the most points after ten rounds wins the game. |
