Lesson 1- Estimating Angle Measures

 

To encourage your child to have fun on the Web while learning about Estimating Angle Measures, here are some games and interactive activities they can do on their own or in pairs.

Instructions for Use

 

Kinds of Angles helps your child to learn the three types of angles.

To use Kinds of Angles, have your child solve the questions.

 

Make Angles lets your child observe the size of angles using a protractor.

To use Make Angles, click the 'Make Angle' button. The angle is displayed in pink overtop of the protractor. Make additional angles, and review the procedure of measuring angles with a protractor.

 

Star Gazing lets your child investigate angle measures using a protractor.

To use Star Gazing, point the telescope at each planet in the night sky. Input the angle in the text box and select the button 'Point Telescope'. A laser beam points to the planet and indicates if the angle is correct and a planet is located.
